Grocery Locator

August 2025

Shoppers often waste unnecessary time walking in circles trying to locate items, especially when staff are busy or unavailable. This leads to frustration, abandoned purchases, and a poor in-store experience.

To solve this, I designed and tested a grocery app that connects a shopping list to an interactive store map, including clear directions and optional AI assistance. During usability testing, users responded positively to the concept, describing it as “simple”, “clever”, and “cool”.

Early testing uncovered three key opportunities: improving map visibility, replacing confusing terminology like “section”, and adding a clear self-location indicator. Even at this early stage, the prototype achieved 100% task completion, 78% positive ease-of-use feedback, and 67% smooth navigation, demonstrating strong potential and clear next steps for refinement.
