Transperth Redesign
September – December 2025
The Transperth app is widely used to navigate public transport in Perth, but its confusing and outdated interface leaves users frustrated. Frequent unexpected resets causing lost data and the lack of in-app payment make the current experience feel behind the times.
My redesign tackles these challenges by introducing a minimized interface with quick access to travel history and a SmartRider QR-code payment feature. It brings a modern look and feel without compromising familiarity, while still preserving the brand identity.
All users were able to complete every task successfully during testing, with no setbacks. The redesign achieved a +2 star improvement and 50% of users preferred the updated version over the original, demonstrating clear usability and satisfaction gains.
